All winter we will continue with our main stream dance teach at 7PM with a plus half hour after the class at 8:30 PM. Our Dyngus Day Dance will be held on April 6, 2026. Mike Callahan will be calling and cueing. All levels welcome including class. See our flyer. Stay warm and see you on the floor!

Copy Cats

As our thoughts turn to colder weather and Thanksgiving, we are thankful for our new kittens and our angels! There are thirteen new dancers who come out on Wednesdays to learn the calls from Ron Brown, longtime teacher for the Copy kittens. We look forward to welcoming the kittens at our traditional Holiday Dinner Dance on Saturday, December 20. Before they join us, we will hold an Ugly Sweater/Crazy Hat Dance (Dec. 6), so put on your craziest gear! Although the weather is sure to be cold, we will keep warm dancing during the months of January and February. Dress up in your favorite tux or dress for our Prom Night Dance (Jan. 10), and sparkle with snowflakes for the Winter Dance (Jan. 24). Represent your favorite sports team at the Sports Dance (Feb. 7) and celebrate love at our Valentine’s Dance (Feb. 21). Please note that the dances on Jan. 24 and Feb. 7 will be held from 2-4 PM, not the usual 7-9 PM time. We look forward to chasing the Winter Blues away with our square dance friends!

Penn Yan Friendship Squares

Penn Yan Friendship Squares has changed its venue and now dances at the First Baptist Church 224 Main St Penn Yan. Workshop / dancing is on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 7PM to 9PM in March, April, May (June?) We do not offer classes at this time as we do not have a regular caller. We dance/workshop mainstream & plus to a guest caller or recordings. Mainstream/plus dancers welcome but please call ahead to confirm we have enough dancers for a square.

Penn Yan Friendship Squares will host the Watkins Glen Weekend on Sept 18-20, 2026 Caller will be Jack Pladdys with cuers Steve and Irene Bradt. Email Sue Irvine irvinesuej@gmail.com or see special events page or flyer page for flyer and information.

Silver Squares

Winter is here! Please make sure we have your correct phone number if we need to cancel the afternoon dance. If the Greece Central School District is closed, the dance will be cancelled. If you are a member of Silver Squares, you will also receive a text or a phone call from a member of the Silver Squares Board. Contact Anne or Don with any concerns or questions.

We have had a wonderful Fall of dancing culminating with Mike Callahan’s Celebration for 65 years of calling and our annual Thanksgiving Feast. Looking forward to the winter we have Jim Gotta as our caller and theme dances that will put a smile on your face. Wear your pajamas for the Pajama Party Dance on January 12th, join in on Flannel Shirt Day on January 19th, wear your favorite sports attire at the Sports Day Dance February 2nd, and dance with your favorite valentine at the Valentine’s Dance on February 9th. Wear your favorite patriotic outfits on our President’s Day Dance on February 16th, get ready for the Mardi Gras Dance on March 2nd, and enjoy the famous Soup and Salad Bar on March 9th. The Soup and Sandwich Dance starts at noon so we can eat first and the dance off the extra pounds! Enjoy the wearin’ of the green at our St. Patrick’s Dance on March 16th and come to our Western Dance on March 30th wearing your boots, hats and all western attire! We hope to see many of you at our dances. Stay warm and be safe this winter!
